An eco-conscious composition

Among other things, our Aloé R baby carriage mattress bears its name for "Recycled".

In fact, all the polyester fibers originally used in the mattress have been replaced by recycled polyester fibers, because make no mistake, recycled polyester offers several advantages over virgin (or non-recycled) polyester:

• Reduced waste and pollution: By using recycled polyester, Kadolis reduces the amount of plastic waste in the environment (reusing existing materials instead of producing new raw materials)
• Conservation of resources: Recycling polyester uses fewer natural resources (such as crude oil), since recycled polyester is made from PET plastic bottles, textile waste or other existing sources of polyester.
• Smaller carbon footprint: The production of recycled polyester generally requires less energy than the production of new polyester. As a result, it helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions and mitigate the impact of climate change.
• Promotion of a circular economy: The use of recycled polyester promotes the concept of a circular economy by encouraging the reuse of materials, thereby extending their lifespan and reducing the need to produce new materials.
• Naturally flame-retardant: The big advantage of polyester, and why we chose it, is that it has naturally flame-retardant characteristics, so we don't need to add chemical treatment.

What's more, this foam-core baby mattress is covered with a softly comfortable TENCEL™ and polyester cover. TENCEL™ is a natural material made from wood pulp. It has a naturally air-conditioning action, enabling you to sleep at the right temperature at all times.

Finally, the coating of Aloe Vera (a popular plant widely used for its medicinal and cosmetic properties) on the cover ensures that the mattress is extremely soft and naturally irresistible to the touch.

Reassuring certifications and standards for a chemical-free mattress

The NF EN 16890 standard, issued in April 2018, concerns baby mattresses and aims to guarantee safety and quality criteria for baby mattresses among other things. We'll explain this standard in a few key points:

• Purpose of the standard: NF EN 16890 establishes safety, performance and composition requirements for mattresses intended for babies and young children, ensuring their compliance with European safety standards.
• Safety criteria: It specifies strict criteria concerning firmness, risk of entrapment or suffocation, durability of materials, resistance to deformation, flammability and other safety-related aspects of baby mattresses.
• Control of harmful substances: The standard also includes regulations on the presence of harmful substances such as heavy metals, flame-retardant treatments, etc., to ensure that the mattress poses no risk to the child's health.

What's more, the Aloé R baby carriage mattress is fully OEKO-TEX® certified. OEKO-TEX® certification means that the product has been tested and certified to meet certain safety and quality standards. This includes checking for the presence of harmful substances such as pesticides, heavy metals, allergenic dyes, regulated chemicals and other hazardous substances according to standard 100, for example, which is one of the most common certifications under OEKO-TEX®.

OEKO-TEX® certification also guarantees that the product complies with ecological criteria, notably by limiting the use of certain chemical substances harmful to the environment.

An ultra-practical, fully removable mattress!

The fact that our Aloé R baby mattress is fully removable from the cover offers many advantages, especially for you, the parents!

• Ease of cleaning: A removable mattress cover allows parents to remove the cover for easy washing in the event of accidents, spit-up or any other incident. This helps keep the mattress clean and hygienic. the cover is simply machine-washed at 30 degrees maximum, with a spin speed of 500 rpm. However, we don't recommend tumble-drying the cover at all, but rather letting it air-dry.
• Durability and longevity: Removing the cover prolongs the life of the mattress. By washing the cover regularly, you can prevent the build-up of dirt, dust mites and bacteria that could otherwise impair the quality of the mattress.

However, the mattress cover does not prevent you from using and protecting your mattress with a waterproof mattress protector and fitted sheet adapted to the size of the mattress (40x80cm, 45x90cm, 40x90cm or 50x83cm).

The Organic Cotton baby carriage cover is made up of a layer of organically grown cotton and a thin layer of polyurethane. The top ensures a softness and a comfort ideal for the babies, being appropriate for the most sensitive skins. The polyurethane side blocks liquids while allowing air to pass through (unlike PVC).

This breathable and waterproof sheet ensures an effective protection of the baby carriage mattress and an optimal comfort for babies. It allows a better regulation of the temperature and limits the excessive perspiration so frequent in the toddlers. Baby sweats less and sleeps more peacefully.

This sheet fits perfectly on baby's baby carriage mattress thanks to its elasticated edge caps. It is machine washable at 60°, at the same time as the fitted sheet, to guarantee impeccable hygiene for your child.

Choosing Organic Cotton means protecting your child's skin but also doing something for the environment. This cotton requires less watering than conventional cotton, it grows without the use of harmful chemicals.

OEKO-TEX® certified, the Organic Cotton baby carriage sheet ensures a natural protection without any chemical treatment. It does not release any harmful substances. Baby will be able to enjoy long naps in his baby carriage, while walking or at home.

The Organic Cotton sheet is soft and not noisy, even when the child moves. Covered with a fitted sheet, it ensures a peaceful sleep to the toddlers.
